Restaurant Accountant with QuickBooks Online Expertise

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented accountant with solid restaurant experience to join Howard Financial’s remote team. You will work closely with our bookkeeping and finance professionals, providing accurate financial reporting and support for hospitality clients.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update all financial records in QuickBooks Online, categorising expenses and managing the general ledger daily.
• Reconcile daily POS sales reports with cash deposits, credit‑card payouts and delivery‑app transactions.
• Process vendor invoices, track food and beverage costs, and ensure timely payments.
• Monitor key restaurant metrics such as COGS and labour expenses.
• Perform month‑end bank and credit‑card reconciliations and generate basic profit‑and‑loss statements for owners or managers.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience in the restaurant or hospitality sector.
• Strong practical knowledge of QuickBooks Online.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, remote environment.

Required skills

• QuickBooks Online (QBO) proficiency.
• Experience linking QBO with restaurant POS systems such as Toast, Clover or Square.
