Relationship Executive - Small Business Banking

About the role

Absa is hiring a Relationship Executive for its Small Business (FAIS) business in Colesberg. The role optimises the profit and economic value of portfolios of small business key account clients with low to medium complexity commercial banking needs, through acquiring new clients, cross-selling to existing clients and servicing them according to the segment's customer value proposition.

Key responsibilities

• Own the primary relationship with each client as their main contact point for all corporate and investment banking needs.
• Take overall accountability for service delivery by setting the rules of engagement for the cross-functional team, which includes the Transactional Banker, Credit Analyst, Segment Support Client Control Team, Client Service Consultant and Product and Sector teams.
• Manage the portfolio's risk by keeping a good understanding of both the Bank's and the clients' regulatory and compliance environments.
• Drive origination of new clients, cross-sell to the existing client base and service clients in line with the segment CVP.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce and Management Studies (required).
• Professional qualifications.
