Registered Nurse – NICU Qualified

About the role

The Life Bay View Private Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse with NICU qualification to join its Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Reporting to the ICU Unit Manager, the RN will deliver holistic, high‑quality nursing care to critically ill newborns while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide basic and specialised nursing care to NICU patients, ensuring optimal clinical outcomes.
• Communicate continuously with patients' families regarding condition and care plans.
• Administer medication in line with ethical and legal standards.
• Maintain infection‑control standards and contribute to SHEQ initiatives.
• Monitor and report equipment status, supporting clinical engineers as needed.
• Manage stock, staff hours, and leave according to hospital policies.
• Facilitate multidisciplinary coordination, including doctor requests and case management.

Required profile

• Relevant nursing degree or diploma.
• Experience working in ICU and NICU environments.
• Strong customer orientation, energetic, well‑organised and a team player.
