Quality Manager

About the role

The Quality Manager leads the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System for an aerospace MRO organization. This senior position ensures compliance with civil aviation regulations, drives safety initiatives and supports the company’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, document and maintain a compliant Quality Management System, including policy, objectives and manuals.
• Coordinate regulatory approvals, manage interactions with civil aviation authorities and ensure all certifications are current.
• Lead internal audits, monitor non‑conformities, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Oversee resource authorisations, inspection, testing and calibration processes.
• Support the Safety Management System by identifying risks and participating in investigations.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Kaizen and other industrial‑engineering tools.

Required profile

• Demonstrated leadership with accountability, coaching ability and conflict‑management skills.
• Strong decision‑making maturity, focusing on customer, shareholder and employee interests.

Required skills

• Quality Management System (QMS) implementation and maintenance.
• Regulatory compliance with civil aviation authorities (Part 145, AMO approvals).
• Internal and external auditing techniques.
• Root‑cause analysis and corrective‑preventive action (CAPA) processes.
• Data analysis and performance measurement.
• Lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen and other continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Project management and budgeting for quality initiatives.
• Calibration and inspection equipment management.
