Quality Controller

About the role

We are looking for a meticulous Quality Controller to join an established food company in Cape Town. The role ensures that all products and processes meet strict quality, food safety, and labeling standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect incoming and outgoing products, vehicles, and containers.
• Monitor temperatures and maintain cold‑chain compliance.
• Conduct quality inspections and sensory evaluations.
• Check packaging and label compliance.
• Report non‑conformances and product issues.
• Assist with dispatch checks and product returns.
• Perform administrative duties such as filing and label printing.
• Ensure equipment calibration and accurate record‑keeping.

Required profile

• Matric or equivalent qualification.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in quality control or food safety.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Computer literate and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Flexibility to work weekends and night shifts when required.
