About the role

We are looking for a meticulous Quality Controller to join an established food company in Cape Town. The role ensures that all products and processes meet strict quality, food safety, and labeling standards.

Key responsibilities

Inspect incoming and outgoing products, vehicles, and containers.
Monitor temperatures and maintain cold‑chain compliance.
Conduct quality inspections and sensory evaluations.
Check packaging and label compliance.
Report non‑conformances and product issues.
Assist with dispatch checks and product returns.
Perform administrative duties such as filing and label printing.
Ensure equipment calibration and accurate record‑keeping.

Required profile

Matric or equivalent qualification.
2–3 years of relevant experience in quality control or food safety.
Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Computer literate and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Flexibility to work weekends and night shifts when required.
