Quality Controller

About the role

Chainlink SA is seeking an experienced Quality Controller to ensure that all incoming materials and finished products meet strict quality standards. You will work closely with production, suppliers and customers in a fast‑paced manufacturing and mining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular quality assessments on incoming materials and production output.
• Reject non‑conforming items and stop processes to prevent defective production.
• Interpret drawings, plans and specifications to verify product requirements.
• Inspect samples using gauges, meters, calipers and other measurement tools.
• Maintain accurate records, complete QA forms and produce reports.
• Train production staff on quality‑control procedures.
• Conduct supplier audits and over‑inspections, both internal and external.
• Carry out welding, assembly/component and profile inspections.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance product excellence.
• Handle customer complaints and maintain strong client relationships.

Required profile

• National Diploma in Mechanical or Quality Management (certificate in QC preferred).
• 3‑5 years of experience in a similar quality‑control role.
• Strong understanding of quality standards, testing techniques and Six Sigma (advantage).
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to work under pressure.
• Attention to detail, problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Hydraulics and mining‑industry knowledge.
• Computer literate with good report‑writing skills.
