Project Manager Technical Facilities

About the role

Vodacom is seeking a Project Manager Technical Facilities to lead data centre upgrade and new‑build projects, overseeing power, HVAC, fire, security and digitisation programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage implementation of data centre infrastructure upgrade projects (power, HVAC, fire, security, etc.).
• Lead execution of new‑build data centre construction projects.
• Coordinate designs for power, HVAC and fire systems with externally appointed registered engineers.
• Implement data centre digitisation programmes such as Building Management & Control Systems and alarming platforms.
• Act as Risk Champion for the National Technical Facilities division.

Required profile

• Minimum 3‑year university degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of project management experience in data centre infrastructure projects.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data centre infrastructure design (power, HVAC, fire, security).
• Solid understanding of Building Management Systems and alarming platforms.
• Hands‑on on‑site project management experience.
