Production Foreman – Multiple Sites

About the role

Our client, a leading cement and concrete products manufacturer, is seeking experienced Production Foremen to oversee operations at three sites (Carletonville, Polokwane and Virginia). The role involves managing daily production, ensuring safety and quality standards, and coordinating with the Business Manager and sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Plan weekly production together with the Business Manager and sales staff.
• Monitor daily output against targets and calculate material usage.
• Order raw‑material stocks in a timely manner.
• Manage plant repairs, breakdowns and corrective actions.
• Maintain mould availability and oversee preventative maintenance.
• Ensure consistent product quality through proper casting, curing and handling techniques.
• Drive ISO 9001 and SABS compliance and conduct regular safety inspections.
• Facilitate meetings, record minutes and maintain clear communication with all workers.
• Train production staff on efficient, safe manufacturing processes.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in a production environment, preferably in cement or concrete manufacturing.
• Technical qualification in Production Management; a Millwright or Electrician background is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of OHS, ISO 9001 and SABS standards.

Required skills

• JDE (ERP) experience.
• Understanding of ISO 9001 quality management.
• Familiarity with SABS standards.
• Millwright skills (advantageous).
