Payments Specialist – Commercial Issuing

About the role

The Payments Specialist – Commercial Issuing will drive growth of the Commercial Issuing (CI) portfolio by originating new sales, expanding existing relationships and delivering solution‑based customer engagement. The role focuses on increasing turnover, utilisation, market penetration and Net Interest Revenue while safeguarding the current portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new Commercial Issuing turnover and Net Interest Revenue in line with scorecard targets.
• Build and manage a monthly CI sales pipeline and convert at least 30% into active business.
• Identify and execute cross‑sell opportunities to improve product mix and profitability.
• Increase back‑book performance through higher utilisation and facility expansion.
• Generate and submit qualifying B2B leads to support incremental revenue.
• Engage down‑trading clients, diagnose root causes and propose additional CI solutions.
• Conduct bi‑monthly visits to top customers and target engagements with declining turnover clients.
• Execute at least one CI‑focused sales campaign per quarter aligned to sector priorities.
• Promote new Commercial Value Propositions and articulate NIR contribution.
• Manage stakeholder relationships with Relationship Executives, Segment Leads, CRA and Operations.
• Attend CST, sales forums and segment meetings across accountable sales areas.
• Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews to assess product entrenchment and identify cross‑sell opportunities.
