About the role
The Non-Clinical Consultant provides professional support to healthcare clients through inbound calls, emails and other service channels. The role focuses on addressing client needs, concerns and complaints while adhering to service level agreements and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality customer service in line with agreed SLAs.
- Manage bin turnaround times and ensure compliance with policy and protocol.
- Apply scheme benefit rules, control in‑ and out‑of‑hospital benefits and enforce exclusions consistently.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with hospitals and service providers.
- Refer complex cases to the case‑management team as appropriate.
Required profile
- Matriculation (or equivalent).
- Minimum one year of experience in a medical environment such as doctor’s rooms, radiology, hospitals, X‑ray departments or paramedic services.
- Good understanding of anatomy and physiology.
- Excellent telephone etiquette.
- Independent thinker with the ability to work autonomously.
- Call‑centre experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of the healthcare industry is an advantage.
