Mini Bar Attendant – Pre‑opening

About the role

The Mini Bar Attendant will support the pre‑opening team at The Cape Town EDITION Hotel by ensuring all minibar areas are fully stocked, clean, and ready for guest use. This full‑time, on‑site position involves a mix of setup, maintenance, and guest service duties throughout each shift.

Key responsibilities

• Complete opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies, cleaning equipment, and securing the area.
• Stock ice, glassware, paper supplies, and minibar items; maintain work‑area organization.
• Remove soiled wares from bar tops and tables and ensure all areas remain clean and presentable.
• Follow all company safety, security, and hygiene policies; report accidents or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a professional appearance, protect confidential information, and safeguard company assets.
• Greet guests courteously, anticipate service needs, and assist guests with disabilities.
• Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors, supporting a collaborative work environment.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb.
• Capability to read and verify information in various formats, including small print.
• Willingness to work on sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and navigate stairs or service ramps.
• Commitment to following safety procedures and completing required training.
