Medical Receptionist – Boksburg

About the role

We are seeking a professional, organised Medical Receptionist to join a well‑established medical centre in Boksburg. The role involves managing front‑desk operations, handling patient interactions, and supporting medical administration in a busy, shift‑based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Answer and direct incoming calls via the practice switchboard.
• Greet patients, manage registrations and update personal/medical information.
• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments and referrals.
• Capture consultations, apply correct ICD‑10 codes, and process billing.
• Handle medical aid authorisations, PMB applications, and related queries.
• Process patient payments and issue electronic receipts.
• Maintain electronic and physical filing systems and respond to administrative emails.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with patient information regulations.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) certificate.
• Proven experience in a medical practice environment.
• Fluency in at least two languages.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Positive, team‑oriented attitude.

Required skills

• ICD‑10 coding.
• Medical aid claim processing.
