Medical Advisor

About the role

The Medical Advisor provides strategic medical leadership and scientific support to cross‑functional teams within Medical Affairs, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory standards and patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage engagement with external stakeholders, KOLs and medical associations; respond to medical inquiries and organize advisory boards, expert panels and scientific events.
• Maintain up‑to‑date expertise in therapeutic areas by monitoring legislative, regulatory and industry changes, attending CPD events and tracking emerging medical trends.
• Ensure all medical activities comply with legal, regulatory and ethical standards; review and approve promotional, educational and training materials, oversee patient support programmes and support pharmacovigilance activities.
• Contribute to medical affairs planning, analyse clinical data to inform product positioning, develop scientific content, deliver training and identify therapeutic gaps for portfolio expansion.
• Develop team capabilities by creating training materials, fostering a goal‑oriented environment and managing the medical budget in line with approved allocations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in medical affairs or related scientific roles.
• Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with KOLs, healthcare professionals and medical associations.
• In‑depth knowledge of regulatory, legal and ethical standards governing medical activities.
• Experience analysing clinical data and translating insights into strategic recommendations.
• Budget management experience and familiarity with pharmacovigilance processes.
