Enrolled Nurse – Surgical Ward

About the role

The Surgical Ward at Ascot Park Hospital is seeking a qualified Enrolled Nurse to deliver age‑appropriate patient care in line with South African Nursing Council (SANC) standards. You will work closely with doctors and the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high‑quality care for surgical patients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide patient care within the scope of practice defined by SANC.
• Follow hospital policies, regulations and stakeholder legislation.
• Attend to patient needs, complaints and clinical observations on the ward.
• Deliver safe, quality nursing care throughout each shift.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with SANC requirements.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
• Registered Enrolled Nurse with a valid SANC APC.
• Good interpersonal skills with doctors, patients and colleagues.
• Preferably at least two years of experience as an Enrolled Nurse.
• Willingness to work additional hours and shift work (day/night).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
