Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop machinery and tooling for injection moulding and metal pressing processes. This hands‑on role works closely with manufacturing, tooling and production teams to optimise machine performance, improve efficiency and support new product development.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop injection moulding and metal pressing equipment.
• Create tooling, machine layouts and production equipment optimisation solutions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, tooling and production teams to ensure robust, cost‑effective designs.
• Apply design‑for‑manufacture principles and solve technical challenges.
• Support automation and production line integration where required.

Required profile

• BEng/BTech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–8 years of mechanical design experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience with injection moulding machines and/or metal pressing equipment.
• Proficient in CAD design software such as SolidWorks or Inventor.
• Experience in tooling design, machine layout and production equipment optimisation.
• Good understanding of materials, tolerances and manufacturing processes.
• Problem‑solving mindset and ability to work in fast‑paced production settings.
