Mechanical Engineering Graduate Programme

About the role

Our client in Cape Town is launching a graduate programme for recent Mechanical Engineering graduates. The role offers hands‑on exposure to the full project lifecycle, from client liaison and quoting through design, manufacturing oversight, budgeting, commissioning and hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with client communication and preparation of quotations.
• Develop design schematics using AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Inventor.
• Support manufacturing oversight and budgeting activities.
• Participate in commissioning, field installations and final hand‑over of projects.
• Plan and develop packaging machinery projects and installations.
• Conduct purchasing, research and travel across South Africa and Africa as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng, BSc or BTech).
• Strong common sense, excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (passport required).

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks.
• Proficiency in Inventor.
