Legal Advisor – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

The Legal Advisor will provide comprehensive legal guidance and support to all levels of management across KFC’s company‑operated and franchised markets in Sub‑Sahara Africa. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, the role ensures compliance with legal requirements and oversees contractual relationships throughout the region.

Key responsibilities

• Offer legal advice to senior and operational managers on regulatory and commercial matters.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with local and regional laws affecting KFC’s operations.
• Draft, review, and manage contracts with franchisees, suppliers, and other external parties.
• Conduct legal risk assessments for new business initiatives.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of legal developments in the region.
• Collaborate with the internal Legal team and external counsel to resolve complex legal issues.
• Support the Chief Legal Officer in developing legal strategies and policies.

Required profile

• Relevant legal qualification and experience in corporate or commercial law.
• Ability to work with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience working in Sub‑Saharan African jurisdictions is advantageous.
