About the role
Servochem is seeking a dynamic Key Account Manager to own strategic customer relationships, drive revenue growth, and support market development in the chemical and coatings sector. The role blends commercial acumen with technical collaboration, offering a unique opportunity to influence both sales and product innovation.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with key clients through regular visits and proactive engagement.
- Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities, manage pricing discussions, and onboard new accounts.
- Coordinate technical assistance, work with the Servochem lab on projects, and provide market insights to support supplier strategies.
- Manage supplier portfolios, including visits, pricing negotiations, and training/webinars.
- Submit accurate forecasts, manage customer stock requirements, and support debtors to ensure payment compliance.
- Participate in month‑end stock takes and uphold company policies on timekeeping and communication.
Required profile
- Matric or equivalent qualification; BSc degree preferred for technical understanding.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in sales or customer service, preferably within the chemical or coatings sector.
- Excellent time‑management, prioritisation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Valid driver’s licence and ability to manage multiple stakeholders and technical projects.
