IT Governance Specialist

About the role

The IT Governance Specialist reports to the Head of Business Technology and is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing IT governance frameworks that align IT strategy with business objectives. This role ensures regulatory compliance, manages IT risks, and standardises processes across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive IT governance frameworks aligned with industry standards.
• Develop IT policies, procedures, and standards across the organisation.
• Create governance metrics and KPIs to monitor performance.
• Ensure alignment between IT strategy and business objectives.
• Monitor compliance with IT‑related regulations and conduct risk assessments.
• Oversee IT audit activities and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• Manage IT compliance reporting and documentation.
• Develop and monitor IT performance dashboards and SLA reviews.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
• Standardise IT service delivery and implement change‑management procedures.
• Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives and maintain proper documentation.
• Collaborate with business leaders to understand technology requirements.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field.
• 5‑8 years of experience in IT governance, audit, compliance or risk management.
• Proven ability to implement IT governance frameworks and manage regulatory compliance.
• Strong understanding of business processes, enterprise architecture and IT service management.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and data‑protection requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation and negotiation skills.
