Human Resources Manager

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Human Resources Manager to lead HR, employment relations and equity initiatives for One&Only Cape Town. The role combines strategic HR leadership with hands‑on service delivery in a luxury hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and monitor recruitment processes, partnering with heads of department and conducting management‑level interviews.
• Lead Employment Equity and Skills Development programmes, ensure statutory compliance and drive progress against equity targets.
• Manage absenteeism monitoring systems and support managers in addressing frequent absences.
• Advise senior management on organisational restructuring, prepare consultation documentation and facilitate employee consultations.
• Develop HR policies, procedures and service standards; define HR roles and establish service level agreements.
• Formulate industrial relations strategies aligned with legislation, maintain positive employee relations and oversee external HR service providers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior HR role within a hospitality or similar service‑focused organisation.
• Strong knowledge of South African employment legislation, including Employment Equity and industrial relations.
• Ability to partner with senior leaders, influence decision‑making and communicate HR policies clearly.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills to track recruitment metrics and equity progress.
