Health and Safety Administrator – 3‑month Contract (2+ yrs FMCG/Manufacturing)

About the role

Our client, a leader in the FMCG and manufacturing industry, is looking for an experienced Health and Safety Administrator to join the team in Vereeniging on a three‑month contract. The role provides administrative support to the Health and Safety Officer and helps maintain compliance with health, safety, environmental and company standards in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain health and safety records, registers, permits, and documentation.
• Capture and update incident, inspection, and training records.
• Assist with safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate health and safety training and induction programmes.
• Monitor PPE issuance records and ensure compliance documentation is up‑to‑date.
• Prepare safety reports, statistics, and meeting minutes.
• Support contractor and visitor safety administration and ensure all files are audit‑ready.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
• 2–3 years of administrative experience in FMCG, manufacturing or similar industrial environments.
• Basic knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and related regulations.
• Strong organisational, document‑control and communication abilities.
