Head of Training – Hospitality Group

About the role

A leading hospitality group is seeking an experienced Head of Training to design, deliver and coordinate training programmes across its sites. The role combines hands‑on facilitation with strategic planning, ensuring compliance with WSP and SETA requirements while maximising training funding. You will lead both classroom and practical sessions and support new store openings.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate the annual training programme for all locations.
• Facilitate practical and classroom‑based training sessions.
• Develop training materials, SOPs and specialised training packs.
• Coordinate training for new store openings and system roll‑outs.
• Manage the company induction programme and maintain accurate employee training records.
• Oversee annual WSP submissions, targets and external training sponsorships.
• Monitor training budgets, funding requirements and compile effectiveness reports.
• Identify opportunities to maximise available training funding.

Required profile

• Matric / Grade 12; relevant qualification in Training & Development, HR, L&D or Hospitality is advantageous.
• Proven experience as Head of Training, Training Manager or L&D Manager.
• Hands‑on experience with WSP and SETA processes – essential.
• Experience managing training funding or sponsorships – essential.
• Strong facilitation, material development and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation and computer literacy.
