Group Marketing Content Officer

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Group Marketing Content Officer to shape, plan and deliver high‑impact content that supports global campaigns, strengthens market positioning and drives engagement across priority audiences. Based in our Cape Town office, you will work closely with the Group Marketing Manager, internal and external stakeholders, freelancers and agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Write, edit and review materials for international audiences across multiple formats, leveraging AI and content development tools while maintaining a unique tone of voice.
• Develop editorial angles and narratives aligned with campaign objectives, turning complex topics into insight‑led thought leadership, articles, reports, social media copy, presentations, brochures and event content.
• Interview stakeholders to gather insights, edit and proof content for clarity, accuracy and brand alignment, and adapt messages for different audiences and channels.
• Contribute to content strategy and editorial planning for key campaigns, define formats, channels and sequencing, and manage the content pipeline to ensure timely delivery.
• Brief and coordinate external suppliers, assess performance and identify new supplier relationships.
• Track and analyse content performance across campaigns and channels, using insights to continuously optimise effectiveness.

Required profile

• Proactive, highly skilled storyteller with experience creating content for global audiences.
• Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging materials.
• Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail.
• Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams, agencies and freelancers.
