Graduate Engineer / Technologist – Roads & Highways

About the role

Join Surbana Jurong as a Graduate Engineer / Technologist working on roads and highways projects in Cape Town and Pretoria. You will support the technical design of projects, collaborate with senior engineers, and develop your engineering expertise in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Draft technical reports of high quality and present findings to stakeholders.
• Lead a small team of technicians and draughtsmen on project tasks.
• Query design details and propose more acceptable solutions.
• Inspect constructed works for compliance with design specifications.
• Assist with straightforward bids and cost estimations.
• Train team members in relevant software tools.
• Manage meeting schedules, agendas, and compile minutes.
• Provide technical assistance to engineers, including design checks and specifications.

Required profile

• B.Eng, B.Tech or Advanced Diploma in Engineering from an accredited university.
• 0‑3 years of experience, preferably with civil design projects.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for a diverse, multidisciplinary team.
