Senior Engineer/Technologist

About the role

The Senior Engineer/Technologist will lead electrical design activities for medium to large power and energy projects. Reporting to the Function Manager – Power & Energy, the role involves managing multidisciplinary teams, budgets, and client relationships to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full electrical design process for projects such as renewable energy, distribution substations, overhead lines, underground cables, street lighting, and water plants.
• Coordinate inputs and deliverables across multidisciplinary teams and external consultants.
• Negotiate project budgets and timelines, monitor resource allocation, and ensure design deliverables meet quality standards.
• Prepare technical reports, review team outputs, and present designs to technical committees.
• Lead bid preparation, client interactions, and scope management while mitigating scope creep.
• Mentor junior engineers, supervise inspections, and develop design procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience delivering medium/large power‑related projects.
• Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills for client and stakeholder engagement.
