General Assistant – Production Support

About the role

The organization seeks a General Assistant to support production and manufacturing operations in its Port Elizabeth facility. The role involves preparing and cleaning work areas, handling raw materials, conducting inspections, and maintaining production records while adhering to quality, safety and pharmaceutical procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, clean and inspect production work areas and equipment according to SOPs and safety standards.
• Handle, weigh, transfer and stage raw materials for production activities.
• Conduct visual inspections and pre‑production checks on equipment, scales and production areas.
• Set up production rooms, equipment and prepare required solutions following procedures.
• Collect samples, control contamination, report operational problems and assist with waste reduction.
• Complete batch records, equipment effectiveness sheets, inspection records and other production documentation.

Required profile

• National Certificate (N3), Matric, National Senior Certificate (NSC) or NQF Level 4.
• 0–2 years of related experience in production or manufacturing environments.
