General Assistant – Pharmaceutical Production Support

About the role

The company is looking for a General Assistant to support pharmaceutical production and manufacturing operations. The role focuses on preparing production areas, handling raw materials, conducting equipment and environmental checks, maintaining cleanliness and preventing contamination.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, clean and inspect production areas and equipment before and after processing.
• Dispense, transfer, weigh and stage raw materials according to production requirements.
• Perform environmental, equipment, scale and pre‑production checks in accordance with SOPs and product specifications.
• Set up production rooms and IBCs and prepare solutions according to approved procedures.
• Collect production and equipment samples, assist with contamination control, minimise waste and report operational problems.
• Complete batch records, OEE sheets, inspection records and other required production documentation.

Required profile

• Matric / Grade 12, National Senior Certificate, N3 or NQF Level 4.
• 0–2 years of related experience.
