About the role
Our client, a leading operator in the quarrying sector, is looking for a qualified GCC Engineer (2.13.1) to ensure plant and equipment compliance, drive maintenance efficiency and support safe operations across the site.
Key responsibilities
- Hold legal appointment as a 2.13.1 Engineer and maintain all required certifications.
- Ensure compliance of plant, equipment and safety systems with regulatory standards.
- Oversee maintenance planning, cost control and plant optimisation initiatives.
- Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) to identify and resolve recurring issues.
- Manage inspections of electrical, mechanical, structural and safety systems.
Required profile
- Grade 12 qualification with a Mining GCC certification.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Minimum three years supervisory experience in a quarrying environment.
- Strong multidisciplinary engineering knowledge (mechanical, electrical, structural).
- Effective leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
