Financial Statements Specialist

About the role

PWC Africa Assurance Multi‑Territory Delivery Centre is seeking a Financial Statements Specialist to support audit teams. The role focuses on reviewing financial statements for compliance with IFRS and IFRS for SMEs disclosure requirements. This is a remote position open to candidates across South Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Perform financial statement disclosure checklists using IFRS and IFRS for SMEs frameworks.
• Support audit teams by reviewing statements of large or listed companies.
• Ensure independence by declaring any financial interests that could affect client work.
• Maintain accurate documentation and meet tight deadlines.

Required profile

• Completed SAICA CA(SA) articles or equivalent Chartered Accountant qualification.
• Post‑article experience is advantageous.
• Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work under pressure.
• Fluent English with good verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
