About the role
Join a fast‑paced finance team within a leading convenience retail environment. As a Financial Assistant you will support daily financial operations, supplier account management, reconciliations, reporting and audit processes while ensuring high accuracy and service delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Update financial spreadsheets with daily transactions and prepare balance sheets and financial reports.
- Track and reconcile bank statements, create cost analysis reports and process tax payments.
- Record accounts payable and receivable, process invoices and follow up with clients, suppliers and partners.
- Manage supplier queries, assess blocked accounts, prepare creditor reconciliations and allocate payments accurately.
- Assist with journals, reconciliations, variance analysis and maintain organised financial records.
Required profile
- BCom Accounting degree.
- 3–5 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably as a Finance Assistant or Finance Officer.
- Good understanding of accounting and bookkeeping procedures.
Required skills
- Advanced MS Excel, including financial functions and spreadsheet management.
- Experience with Pastel Evolution accounting software.
