Legal Entity Controller – Associate (Johannesburg)

About the role

The Legal Entity Controller Associate will own financial reporting and monitoring for a portfolio of legal entities within Goldman Sachs’ South Africa branch. You will ensure compliance with IFRS and US GAAP, provide insight into profitability and risk, and support senior management with high‑quality analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, analyse and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports to senior management, directors and other key stakeholders.
• Produce financial statements, resolve complex technical accounting issues and fulfil disclosure requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors and regulatory agencies on reporting matters.
• Become the subject‑matter expert for cash inflows and outflows affecting the Goldman Sachs International Bank – South Africa Branch.
