Facilities Team Leader

About the role

We are looking for a Facilities Team Leader to oversee a multidisciplinary maintenance team across multiple sites. The role combines hands‑on facilities expertise with leadership, ensuring safe, efficient operations and high‑quality environments.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and execute daily maintenance activities, including preventative programmes.
• Conduct inspections of building infrastructure, HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Lead and develop a team of technicians, allocate tasks, and conduct performance reviews.
• Manage external contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with SLAs, budgets and quality standards.
• Ensure adherence to OHS legislation, perform safety inspections and maintain compliance documentation.
• Maintain accurate work orders, asset records and inventory, and produce regular maintenance reports and KPI dashboards.
• Support budget planning and cost‑control initiatives.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
• Valid Code B / EB driver’s licence.
• 3–5 years of experience in facilities or maintenance operations.
• Proven experience supervising a maintenance team.
• Relevant trade certification (electrical, mechanical, refrigeration or plumbing) is an advantage.
• Experience in multi‑site environments such as retail, QSR or hospitality.
