About the role
We are seeking an experienced Buyer to support our construction projects in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. You will manage supplier relationships, ensure cost‑effective procurement, and coordinate stock requirements across multiple sites.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and assess suitable suppliers.
- Communicate and liaise with suppliers to maintain effective relationships.
- Process supplier applications and handle related administrative tasks.
- Ensure cost‑effective procurement and place orders.
- Coordinate with building and development sites to determine stock requirements.
- Follow up on orders to guarantee timely delivery.
- Manage in‑house paperwork and administration related to supplier transactions.
- Collaborate across multiple projects to align supplier activities with business objectives.
Required profile
- 5–8 years of experience in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of building materials and construction procurement processes.
- Proven negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced construction environment.
- Excellent organizational and administrative abilities.
