Events Coordinator – Upmarket Estate near Franschhoek

About the role

Our client, an upmarket estate located near Franschhoek, is seeking an experienced Events Coordinator to join a vibrant team. The role involves managing large‑scale weddings, corporate events and special celebrations, ensuring every detail meets the high standards of the estate.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary client liaison: receive enquiries, send information packages and prepare initial quotes for approval by the Events Manager.
• Assist the Events Manager in obtaining quotations for procurement and oversee venue stock, monitoring supplies and reporting maintenance issues.
• Coordinate set‑up and strike‑down of events, supervising suppliers and ensuring the venue is ready and presentable.
• Provide on‑day operational support, liaising with external coordinators and managing venue‑side logistics.
• Support special estate events and maintain accurate stock control and supplier relationships.

Required profile

• Events Management qualification or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience coordinating large weddings, corporate events and celebrations.
• Strong organisational, communication and decision‑making abilities, with the capacity to work under pressure.
• Experience in stock control, staff management and supplier liaison.
• Own transport, a valid driver’s licence and residence in the Winelands area.
