Enrolled Nurse Specialist – Emergency Unit

About the role

We are seeking an Enrolled Nurse Specialist to join the Emergency Unit at Life Wilgeheuwel Hospital in Johannesburg. Reporting to the Unit Manager, you will deliver high‑quality nursing care to patients presenting with urgent medical needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with SANC regulations and Life Healthcare policies.
• Maintain health, safety and infection‑control standards within the unit.
• Utilise resources efficiently and ensure equipment is properly maintained.
• Accurately document patient information and treatment interventions.
• Educate patients and support their continued care.
• Collaborate with doctors, allied health professionals and support staff to ensure coordinated patient care.

Required profile

• Registered Enrolled Nurse (SANC).
• Experience working in an emergency department or similar high‑acuity setting.
• Willingness to work shift patterns and flexi‑hours as required.
• Understanding of private‑healthcare environment is an advantage.
• Good communication skills and ability to build effective relationships.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency for clinical documentation.
