Electronic Technician – Advanced Manufacturing

About the role
Philip Morris International is seeking an Electronic Technician to maintain and improve advanced manufacturing equipment for its smoke‑free product lines. You will work in a highly automated environment, solving technical challenges and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Perform preventive, planned, corrective and breakdown maintenance on production equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, PLC and automation‑related faults.
- Maintain equipment calibration to ensure consistent performance, quality and compliance.
- Support production teams during changeovers, format changes and technical interventions.
- Participate in equipment installation, upgrades, modifications and continuous‑improvement projects.
- Integrate new automation systems and control devices into existing equipment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, technical documentation and data in company systems.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality and Maintenance teams to resolve technical issues.
- Analyse equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Use SAP to manage spare parts, maintenance information and inventory requirements.
Required profile
- National Diploma, Degree or equivalent qualification in Electronic or Electrical Engineering/Technology.
- Minimum 4 years experience as an Electronic or Electrical Technician in a high‑volume manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Strong experience in PLC programming, troubleshooting and industrial automation systems.
- Working knowledge of control systems such as Siemens, Rockwell, Festo, Wonderware InTouch or WinCC.
- Experience with equipment calibration and instrumentation.
