District Officer – Education (Limpopo, South Africa)

About the role

Youth Impact is scaling evidence‑based education interventions across South Africa. The District Officer will coordinate the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) program in Limpopo, ensuring high‑quality implementation, training, and data collection in schools.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for field implementation of the TaRL program.
• Capture and update program‑related data in databases on a timely basis.
• Provide training and facilitation for teachers and staff in the assigned region.
• Conduct baseline, midline and endline assessments of student learning levels.
• Ensure accurate and timely data collection and submission by teachers.
• Manage program logistics and collaborate with Program Coordinators to support successful activities.
• Perform regular monitoring visits to schools to verify quality and standardisation of implementation.

Required profile

• Adaptive, positive and resilient with a proactive, self‑starter attitude.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to build relationships in a multicultural environment.
• Ability to design and maintain systems and processes from the ground up.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region and legal right to work in South Africa.
