Director of Revenue Management

About the role

The Director of Revenue Management leads the hotel’s Commercial Strategy team, shaping the vision for total profitability across rooms, food & beverage, and spa. Reporting to senior property leadership, the role drives revenue growth while protecting the luxury brand positioning.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate a Total Hotel Profit Optimisation vision and embed a revenue‑management culture across all departments.
• Leverage Accor analytics and tools to maximise market share (RGI) and bottom‑line profit.
• Mentor the Reservations Manager, setting performance standards for booking conversion, rate accuracy and luxury service.
• Manage group blocks, corporate allotments and high‑value guest queues between Revenue and Reservations functions.
• Create accurate short‑ and long‑term forecasts to guide pricing, restrictions and yielding decisions.
• Participate in annual revenue budgeting and produce long‑term financial projections.
• Prepare and present commercial strategy decks for ownership and stakeholder meetings.
• Monitor macro‑economic trends, market intelligence and competitive set data to inform strategy.
• Direct channel distribution strategies to maximise room revenue while minimising acquisition costs.
• Own revenue technology systems (RMS, CRS, PMS, rate‑shopping tools) and ensure data integrity.

Required profile

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional appearance.
• Dynamic, can‑do attitude and high analytical attention to detail.
• Previous reservation experience highly preferred.
• Ability to organise, multi‑task and meet deadlines.
• South African citizenship, permanent residency or valid work authorisation; no visa sponsorship offered.
