DevSecOps Engineer (Hybrid, Cape Town)

About the role

The DevSecOps Engineer will design, build and operate secure development and deployment platforms that enable product engineering teams to deliver software safely, efficiently and reliably. Working within the Developer Experience (DevEx) capability, you will embed security directly into CI/CD pipelines and engineering workflows while maintaining high developer productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for multiple engineering teams.
• Integrate automated security checks, vulnerability scanning and dependency analysis into build and release processes.
• Support secure release strategies, secret management and credential handling.
• Implement monitoring, logging and observability for development, staging and production environments.
• Ensure platform stability, operational resilience and secure configuration across cloud infrastructure.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps or Platform Engineering.
• Proven experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably Azure.
• Strong background in automation and Infrastructure‑as‑Code.
• Experience embedding security controls into delivery pipelines and supporting production environments.
