Cybersecurity Analyst (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Cybersecurity Analyst to support a UK‑based employer remotely from South Africa. You will help protect systems, networks and data by monitoring security events, responding to incidents and strengthening the overall security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support monitoring of security systems, alerts and incident response processes.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, support penetration testing and perform risk analysis.
• Communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders across time zones.
• Maintain accurate records of security incidents, audits and compliance documentation.
• Use SIEM platforms, endpoint protection software and threat intelligence tools.
• Assist with security awareness training and policy development.
• Identify opportunities to improve security posture and reduce risk exposure.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity analysis, IT security or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple security tasks.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and maintain high attention to detail.
• Reliable laptop, stable internet connection and a quiet working environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SIEM platforms.
• Experience using endpoint protection software.
• Familiarity with threat intelligence tools.
• Knowledge of network monitoring technologies.
