Country Manager / Sales Director – South Africa

About the role

We are seeking a high‑calibre Country Manager / Sales Director to lead our client’s South African operations. Reporting directly to the global leadership team, you will own full P&L responsibility and shape the commercial strategy for a premier European compressor manufacturer.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all regional functions – Sales, Marketing, Finance, Logistics – ensuring seamless integration and execution.
• Design and implement a commercial roadmap to capture high‑value opportunities and diversify revenue streams.
• Identify emerging market trends and competitive shifts to maintain market leadership.
• Mentor, inspire and develop a high‑performing, accountable team.
• Build and nurture strategic partnerships with key accounts, industry bodies and allies.

Required profile

• 7+ years of senior management experience with a proven record of revenue growth and market expansion.
• Strong financial acumen and deep understanding of the South African business environment.
• Executive presence with the ability to deliver compelling presentations to C‑suite and board audiences.
• Fluent English with excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of compressor systems.
• Experience with mechanical applications in industrial technology.
