Country Manager / Sales Director

About the role

We are seeking a high‑calibre Country Manager / Sales Director to lead our South African operations for a leading European compressor manufacturer. You will own the full P&L and drive commercial strategy across sales, marketing, finance and logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all local functions, ensuring seamless integration between sales, finance and supply chain.
• Identify emerging market trends to diversify revenue streams and capture high‑value opportunities.
• Mentor and inspire a high‑performing workforce, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
• Cultivate influential partnerships with key accounts, strategic allies and industry bodies.
• Monitor competitive shifts to keep the brand the primary choice across the region.

Required profile

• 7+ years in senior management with a proven record of revenue growth and market expansion.
• Strong financial acumen and deep understanding of the South African business landscape.
• Extensive experience in industrial technology; knowledge of compressor systems is highly advantageous.
• Ability to move fluidly between strategic planning and hands‑on execution.
• Excellent command of English and confidence presenting to C‑suite and board audiences.
