Compliance Analyst

About the role

The Government Employees Pension Fund (GEPF) is seeking a Compliance Analyst to support its Legal and Compliance Manager in ensuring adherence to legislation, regulations and internal policies. The role will be based in Centurion and involves monitoring compliance risks and developing controls for ethical operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret regulatory developments relevant to the pension fund.
• Conduct compliance reviews and ongoing monitoring of processes.
• Identify, assess and report compliance risks.
• Support policy, procedure and control development and maintenance.
• Handle incidents and breaches, including investigation and reporting.
• Deliver training and awareness programmes on compliance matters.
• Provide audit and assurance support as required.

Required profile

• Four‑year degree (NQF Level 7) in Management Sciences, Law, Compliance or a related field.
• Three to four years of relevant compliance experience.
• Member of the Compliance Institute of Southern Africa; Compliance Practitioner designation preferred.

Required skills

• Knowledge of South African pension fund legislation.
• Understanding of POPIA and PFMA regulations.
• Familiarity with corporate governance and compliance frameworks.
• Ability to draft and review policies and procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
