Community Manager

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Community Manager to support a UK‑based employer by building and nurturing online communities. This remote position is ideal for a South African professional who can work independently across time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day activity on social media channels and community platforms.
• Handle queries, comments, and moderation in a timely, brand‑aligned manner.
• Communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders across different time zones.
• Maintain accurate records of community metrics, engagement data, and content calendars.
• Use scheduling platforms, community forums, and analytics tools to support content creation, campaign launches, and events.
• Identify growth opportunities to increase engagement and strengthen brand loyalty.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in community management, social media, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and solve problems proactively.
• Experience with UK‑based clients is advantageous.
• Reliable laptop, stable internet connection, and a quiet working environment.
