Commercial Specialist

About the role

The Commercial Specialist supports the Commercial team in bid management, contract administration and partner governance across global operations. The role ensures high‑quality commercial outputs, strong risk management and continuous improvement to help the business meet its strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Review agreements from commercial and risk perspectives and draft, negotiate, and manage contracts, variations, terminations and scope changes.
• Analyse contract profitability, scope adherence and identify potential commercial leakages.
• Track contract renewals, extensions and ensure timely execution of increases.
• Maintain an accurate contract repository and documentation system.
• Provide commercial input and documentation for bids and tenders, gather technical, financial and operational data.
• Review tender terms, pricing, payment and legal clauses; support bid strategy discussions.
• Assist in securing bid bonds and ensure compliance with internal bid governance.
• Collaborate with sales teams to support revenue growth, monitor bid progress and support price adjustments.
• Liaise with finance for accurate invoicing, pricing application and payment tracking.
• Respond to customer queries, build relationships with customers, suppliers and stakeholders, and support contract finalisation.
• Support governance processes, prepare performance reports and track project and contract performance.
• Assist in onboarding, vetting and performance monitoring of partners and service providers.
