Bookkeeper – Finance Team (Johannesburg East)

About the role

Join a leading international technology company that delivers cutting‑edge automation solutions for construction and mining. As a Bookkeeper you will support the finance team in Johannesburg East, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Process daily financial transactions, including receipts, payments, journals and expense allocations.
• Manage the full Accounts Payable function, ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time.
• Perform bank, supplier, customer and credit‑card reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve account discrepancies promptly.
• Assist with VAT preparation and statutory compliance.
• Maintain audit‑ready financial records and support month‑end close.
• Collaborate with the finance team to improve processes and reporting accuracy.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Bookkeeping, Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience in a commercial environment.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
• Excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel
• ERP or accounting systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP or Oracle
• Understanding of Accounts Payable, bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations, and VAT
