Backend Software Engineer (.NET) – Mid-Level

About the role

We are looking for a mid‑level Backend Software Engineer with strong .NET expertise to join our team in Pretoria. The role focuses on building and maintaining robust backend services and RESTful APIs while supporting deployment in containerised Linux environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and REST APIs using C# and ASP.NET Core.
• Deploy and support applications in Docker/Linux environments, including container orchestration.
• Troubleshoot performance and deployment issues, and support database integration with PostgreSQL.
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong knowledge of C# and modern .NET (8/9) frameworks.
• Experience building RESTful APIs with ASP.NET Core.
• Proficiency with SQL databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker, Linux, and Git.
