About the role
The Assistant Front Office Manager supports the Front Office Manager in overseeing all front‑office operations at the Cape Town Marriott Hotel Crystal Towers. This full‑time, on‑site role ensures smooth check‑in and check‑out processes, high guest satisfaction, and strong financial performance.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and coach front‑desk, bell/door, and switchboard staff on daily duties.
- Manage day‑to‑day front‑office operations, including guest services, reservations, and telephone handling.
- Handle guest complaints, resolve disputes, and implement corrective actions based on feedback.
- Monitor performance metrics, recognize employee achievements, and maintain a collaborative work environment.
- Work closely with the Front Office Manager to develop goals, improve service standards, and drive departmental profitability.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED with at least two years of guest‑service or front‑desk experience, or a two‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, integrity, and a leadership mindset.
- Ability to step in for team members and perform duties across all front‑office positions when needed.
