About the role

Our client is looking for an experienced Doctors Consultant/Account Manager to oversee a portfolio of UK-wide healthcare clients focused on temporary doctor placements. You will combine client account management, candidate delivery, and revenue growth to ensure high service levels and successful placement outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and develop relationships with NHS trusts, private hospitals, and other healthcare clients across the UK.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all doctor placement requirements, ensuring consistent fulfilment of bookings.
  • Source, screen, and place locum doctors, handling availability, onboarding, and compliance.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified doctors across various specialties.
  • Identify opportunities to increase fill rates, monitor market trends, and support revenue growth.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM and recruitment systems, processing bookings, timesheets, and documentation.
  • Respond quickly to urgent staffing requests and last‑minute changes.

Required profile

  • Proven experience in medical recruitment, specifically locum doctor staffing.
  • Strong understanding of temporary placements and healthcare staffing operations.
  • Experience working with NHS clients or framework agreements is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑management abilities.
  • Commercially aware, proactive, and solution‑oriented.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
